297 – Fireworks for the Masses

Today is the 4th of July, which is a weird for me, because I’m a Canadian living in America.  They did have one thing I love though, which is big huge fireworks.  We got to sit on the beach and watch them, which was pretty neat.  I got lots of pics.  This is one of my favourites.

This is one of the largest fireworks displays on the Central Coast.  They say about 100,000 people attend.  Afterwards, most of these people funnel down State Street to their cars, or the bars.  On the way there is a bridge/short tunnel beneath Hwy 101.  Everyone screams and yells through the tunnel.  It’s a lot of fun.  Dan and I both have some good video of this too.
