328 – The Cranes!!!

Dan’s loving this project of mine. Not really. .. I think finally being able to get some of them stringed up has helped though. Now he likes it 🙂 The strands are 40 cranes each, so there will be 25 of these strands to make 1,000. Oye. The cranes are tacked up on the wall so they are out of cat swatting range, and don’t swing around to tempt the cats (mostly Finnegan). I bought some $1 necklaces and used them for the beads at the end. The star there is a lantern type thing that Dan got from a relative. We never had a good spot to put it and plug it in, so we removed the light inside and just left it up there for decor. 🙂 These cranes used up the origami paper I had on hand at home, so it’s officially time to buy more!!

Is it Origami paper? It has to be origmia paper, preferably anyway. IT’s a different thickness, so easier to fold. Also, it’s pre-cut square, which is nice. lol
